Charles Huang
RedOctane
Executive Vice President/Co-Founder
Charles Huang was born in Taiwan and immigrated to Silicon Valley as a young child. He received his bachelor’s in arts from UC Berkeley in 1992. He co-founded RedOctane with his brother, Kai Huang, in 1999. In November, 2005, RedOctane released Guitar Hero, which won multiple industry awards. In 2007, the Guitar Hero franchise generated over $1 billion in sales worldwide.
RedOctane was acquired by Activision in June of 2006. Charles currently lives in California with his wife Lillian and 2 daughters, Kaylan and Charlotte.
