John McLellan

Partner
John McLellan is the partner in charge of Haldanes’ media and entertainment practice in Asia. He represents television channels and broadcasters, record companies (both major and independent), publishing companies, film studios and production companies and international and regional movie stars and musical talents.
John has been described by The Who’s Who of the Law as “One of Hong Kong’s leading entertainment lawyers”. Haldanes are a multiple winner of the Asian Legal Business “Entertainment Law Firm of the Year” Award (including the award for the current year). John is a frequent speaker at international media conferences (including MIDEM, the Cannes International Film Festival and MIP). John is also legal advisor to a number of industry bodies, including the Federation of Hong Kong Film Workers, the Hong Kong Performing Artists Guild, the Hong Kong Directors Guild, and he is an executive committee member of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers.
